All stuff to be looked through, the whole logistics of this enterprise relies on product supply reliability, if that can again be guaranteed from the local stockist and price compatible then there would be no sense in becoming an importer ourselves. If this supply chain can't be guaranteed or price competitive then the logistics of volume buying to balance importing/finance/warehousing etc costs needs to be examined.... then the risk of flooding the market causing stock dumping if we were to enter the supply chain needs to be considered..... all too much for a first coffee

I import containers from Taiwan, the sea part of the journey is the cheap part, you need a good bloke handling the logistics at this end to save you some money! The containers don't have to be full.
Is it the same importing from Taiwan as from the mainland China?
JonD used to import too Terry so he might be worth a chat?
I'm guessing Toolman would import into Fremantle? Then again freight from WA is cheap.
