Post by Dot »

Tonight the inbox has been repeating all incoming emails 140 so far and still climbing. How do I stop this :?:

Dot you might not understand this but if you have a POP email setup you won't get them keep coming down. If you have a SMTP mail setup then you might get what you are seeing.
The difference is that once you check your mail, a POP setup will delete the copy from the ISP's servers. A SMTP will always keep a copy "up there".
If something goes wrong the SMTP server thinks you haven't got your mail so keeps sending it to you.
Advice? Just go grab a Gmail account & setup your Bigpond to forward all your mail to your Bigpond account.

If set up right ... no.
The mail doesn't even go onto the Bigpond mail servers .... just immediately redirected straight to the Gmail account.

You are ever so right Bruce :) might wait till we get into better coverage. We hope to be heading towards Mackay if I am feeling better. I reckon I got this "whatever" from the bug filled drs waiting room, with all the $$ they make surly they could afford a good filtration system.. Never felt this crook in ages :(
