'S' is American, 'Z' is English/Australian. :)
KTA pays up to $10,000 for recovery.
SWMBO is not vastly impressed with them. Medical files faxed to them had not been checked 24hrs after initial contact.
That was 10 days ago. Debbie said she would 'be on touch by Friday'... silence.
Still nothing and it's Saturday.
Are you looking at getting up a convoy to support Joy? If so, I'd be hoping to travel with her rather than wait some days alone at one end or t'other.
Might be up to three weeks before I can walk with partial assistance... :(

Have you thought of having somebody drive the unit to your home base. That way you would not have to seperate from your partner and you could travel with your motorhome towing the toad behind as usual. This might restrict the sightseeing.

If you get stuck I can suggest a place to camp up in Perth. They charge 150 per wk. Or I can drive it back for you but it will cost you a flight back for me.

Girt, Jim the Junior Jeep & trailer have left the premises en route East by rail.
Info from transport company is that, while Jim & trailer travel by rail to Melb then trans-ship to a low-loader truck for Rutherglen, Girt is a whole 'nother question.
Her 3.7m height means she must be off-loaded at Adelaide due to low-clearance bridges & tunnels.
Trucking appears to be the go fr Adelaide to Rutherglen, although company this end has no idea what's planned.
KTA insists all is under control & they'll advise us of next stage later.
If all is OK, why can't they tell us NOW what's going to happen?
Seems we're back in the mushroom club again.
Perth transport company has been far more open & helpful than KTA. Also the Perth mob have been unfailingly polite in their dealings with me.
