Re: Footy
I would have been really happy for them if Paul Gallen didn't play. I am not one of that blokes fans. Other than that it was a good game of footy, nearly as good as the proper footy game that was played on Saturday.

Cheers

Re: Footy
Was there something other than field ballet on Saturday? , must have missed it. Enjoyed the game, who would have thought Cronulla could have even reached a grand final, but to win onesupersparky wrote:I would have been really happy for them if Paul Gallen didn't play. Re: Footy
Terry, Terry Terry, one day I will take you to the MCG and we shall watch a decent game of AFL and I shall explain to you the finer points of the game. But only if you are good. It's like a lot of things, if you didn't play it as a kid growing up, it doesn't quite make sense. Took me a very long time to work out Rugby League. But I did give it a crack.
Cheers

You mean at some stage it does make sense....... I reckon I can explain how the league rules work quicker than you will be able to explain how field ballet works, so I'm up for the challenge... but at a pub watching on the big screen, you see more of the action that way

Re: Footy
You two are off my Christmas card list now.
But I don't mind the idea of watching a game on the big screen at the pub and have a serious discussion about important stuff. Maybe about May next year somewhere?

Re: Footy
They won't pay the 2 grand finals in May David, will we have to watch a state of origin or something..... does field ballet have such a thing? NRL doesn't have them until June so will we need to talk about other serious events? Should we start a list or just get a conversation waiter to get us started .... can't find a good video clip of that one unfortuately

Totally agree Terry they do forward passes and get away with itT1 Terry wrote:You mean at some stage it does make sense....... But I did give it a crack. Our son played field ballet for one session, they went through undefeated to the minor premiership, got beaten by 5 points or something, played the next team and beat them, then came back for grand final and seriously embarrassed the minor premiers with an absolute flogging. He didn't play again as it couldn't hold his interest. We went to watch a few games, simply couldn't figure out why there were so many people on the field, why everyone stood back just because someone catch the ball and why they got a clear kick at the goal and a bonus point for getting close but not quite there.

Re: Footy
T1, It doesn't have to be a Grand Final or Origin to make it a good game of footy. Aussie Rules used to have an interstate series of games many years ago, but they changed the rules to a similar format to Origin and sadly, stuffed it. So that's gone now.
Cheers
