Kerosene is good.
ChrisR is still probably hiding. I know a few who might like to have a chat with him!
Ask Martin.... I think he had some dealings with him on his maiden trip in his new/old motorhome. (Broken spring?)

"tanks" here---
You can use WD-40 to remove tar from the car.
In the old days we used ordinary peanut paste -the smooth type not the one with nuts and lumps in it, and then a wash with car wash to remove the peanut paste.
Keith.
I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

Kero for the tar as already said. Butter also worked, or at least it did when I was a kid.BruceS wrote:Kerosene is good.

Chris R is in broken Hill, he gave us a bit of a tour around the area, which we were grateful for given that otherwise we were immobile.

Dot, we use a product called "bug and tar remover" . I think it's a sellys product, but you get it from places like repco and it works a treat. Especially when the roadie gets the job!!!
