Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Spent today organising the stuff for a school fete tomorrow. This is the first fete that we have done in a long time and I had forgotten just how much extra work it is. Tables, gazebo, more tables, lights, power source for lights, weights for gazebo, trolleys, walls for gazebo, oh and check the jewellery stock is all in the right places......give me an air conditioned club auditorium any day! Tomorrow we will start at the school at 12 and still be working at 8. Hope to make some spending money.

I've seen those bags of dog food you buy, Dot. I'm not surprised that you have to go to the physio after picking them up!Dot wrote:Off over the other side of the city tomorrow to pick up dog food order then to physio so full on day. Time to hit the sack so goodnight everyone x, goodnight Col69 x

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Still totally exhausted from yesterday's school fete. It went from noon til 8pm, we finally left there after 10 and it was just a hot sticky day with very few spending customers.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
0200hrs... So tired I can't sleep!
Thursday a busy day at Men's Shed helping others (On wheely-walker at the moment, so helping abilities are limited).
Yesterday (Friday - yes, I know it's past midnight and it's now Sunday, but you know what I mean) I was Project Manager & drop-saw operator on the realisation of a project Men's Shed has been working on for me since February: outdoor seating at our church.
Saturday spent packing away my drop-saw, drills, & other tools used in construction, then cutting dried timbers for next winter's firewood pile. I'm pooped!
The seating & flower boxes were my concept & design. I figured seating outdoors in shade (during Morning Tea time, anyway) might encourage people to hang around a bit longer to chat.
It worked! The boxes & a stack of loose sleepers were delivered to church last Sunday & single seat sleepers temporarily laid in place but not secured, and people already took their cuppa out to sit on them (not the cups, the sleepers, silly!)
All has now been bolted in place.
Phase 2 is to have some of our more green-thumbed parishoners put soil & plants in the boxes.
BTW, the boxes are 1m x 1m and 3 sleepers high... takes 3 fit men to lift one. Seats are 2.1m sleepers bolted to the sides of the boxes... no legs, so if anyone can undo the Nyloc nuts on coach bolts, all they'll have is a bunch of sleepers.
The whole thing is now a single unit of bolted sleepers & boxes 13.3m long. I'm fairly certain it's not going anywhere.

Looks the goods Ray. I can see the Sunday School kiddies playing "jump the box" already! The church got a First Aid kit handy?
