A little bit wet
Hi. I see it was a little bit wet down south of us. We only had 5mm at Loxton. This will keep those prickles growing Dot. Hope there was not too much damage. Cheers John

Think it was a "storm" in a tea cup. I got up about 3am to close a couple of windows but apart from the pitter patter of the rain and a bit of wind. If there was anything damaging I slept through it. I guess those dam prickles will start to sprout now.

Re: A little bit wet
It sure hit here, tanks over flowing, part of the workshop driveway gravel spread down the road this morning requiring a few barrow loads to return it, got the stuff that was making a run for it but the rest out the front.....too hot for that sort of nonsense so it can wait a while longer
Margaret was up early hrs securing the gates both side of the house, pulling the awnings down and rescuing things from both the front and back patio. The rain actually made it to both the front and back door, the wind didn't seem to know which way it wanted to go. The workshop office had water forced under the door or it was that deep out front it flowed in, which eve it was there was a rather large wet area inside the doorway this morning. Fortunately I managed to sleep through most of it, probably could have slept through all of it if it wasn't for the light shining in my face as Margaret came back to bed, those lights on the phones these days are very bright

Re: A little bit wet
Been raining since about 4am this morning non stop, lots of mist and no wind. Have to unload my truck to take it to Hobart tomorrow and looks like it will be a very wet unloading, keep putting it off hoping the rain will ease or stop for me..

We appear to have missed the bulk of it here in Melbourne but it did shake up the Western District and Mallee a bit, then headed south to wet the pepper.

Have had the air con on dehumidify since lunch time, very humid and apparently more of the same is on it's way. The big red genny is on stand by

37 deg up here at the moment and very humid. Only have the evap. air con. and that is totally useless. Had the water turned on it a while ago and all the floors had condensation on them. See the humidity was at 84%. Most uncomfortable day I can remember. Could move into the van with that air con.

Re: A little bit wet
The noise of hard rain on our roof woke me at 0400h!
At least this morning we didn't have to water the newly planted roses!
Some of the standards had a slight lean because of the wind...
Headlights needed for a short errand this morning, and wipers running front & rear!
(Even had to use the car to stay dry...

Re: A little bit wet
Dry as a chip here in Camden, NSW and we certainly do need some good rain. Little dog has worked out to skirt around the yard in the shaded areas rather then go straight.
