Hi from the Sunshine Coast
I are having trouble programming this Thermostat .
It is a Ringder Model:RC112E off ebay .
I have it running ,but it won't let me set it to 4-6 deg .
On the low set it goes up to 2 deg ,then jumps to -40 deg .
It has to be in the other settings .
I are hopeing within the group someone may have one of these
and can set me straight on the programming sequence to get to
my 4-6deg goal .

Make sure the 'high' set is well above the intended setting and the low is well below that intended setting & then gradually raise & lower them until you get the range required.
Is there a minimum between lower & minimum? Seem to remember it's 4 degrees?
I think Bernie has one ???
If you have the upper one on 2 then you won's be able to set the lower one on 3!! (of course!)
I've seen them set for snake cages & tropical fish aquariums.
Maybe yours is faulty?

Thanks everyone, I will go and give that a go. I have been trying everything , just my luck to pick up a faulty one.
If this doesn't work ,it might be a case of a new fridge.

You need to get into the function buttons.

The coldest is probably set at 4.

Do the instructions provided show how to get into them?

With mine, pressing the "ok" button for > 5 seconds bring them up.

F4 is the cooling
F5 is the hysterisis

I got the thermostat set up ok,I also have a temp gauge in both the freezer and the fridge and they agree with each other.
A fair while ago I put a computer fan blowing air on the compressor underneath the fridge, thinking keeping it cool would help, and also a computer fan
in the fridge to move the air around and lighten the load on the compressor.
As it has turned out,individually the fan on the compressor made it run cooler,and the one in the fridge was moving too much air and stopped the temp from coming down below 8deg.The fan on the comp on its own did help a little, can the compressor run to cold, I joined the 2 fans in sequence and halved their running speed and that did the trick,it now comes down to 4deg.
You hear people talk about putting fans in their fridge, as the cure to fix their temp problems, but really, if you don't have a gauge to see what is really happening, it can be a fallacy. The gauge tells it all.

A quick update on my fridge.
It turned out the Evacool compressor must have been faulty, it just wouldn't pull the temp below 9deg and running full time, nothing wrong with the thermostat, all fitted up to the new fridge. Couldn't fit a inverter fridge, not enough room. Went with a Beier 118lt off Ebay and will see how that goes. Looks to be the same as the Evakool one with the next size compressor and a Beier badge.Initial impression is it works brilliantly. We will see in time.
