The finish off since we were there is quite impressive Cuppa considering the time frame involved, is the flash toilet connected up yet? Very impressive work like all the jobs you take on..... but you have had building experience with the farm house, Nonny and the 4 x 4 fit out, this is just on a much granda scale. So when will be heading over to Mannum to finish our big bus project
Congratulation to both of you for hatching a plan and actually achieving more than you set out to do.

It certainly is, I 'christened' it a few days ago. I reckon that is probably sufficient detail!T1 Terry wrote:is the flash toilet connected up yet?

Very impressive, what size was the steel shed, I don't see that anywhere (that don't mean it isn't there)

Given the lack of flush, I could take a pic of some drying deposits Bernie, but I reckon you'd have to set up one of those private darknet sites for me to show it to you ...... & I know you're not that good on a computer.

Not 'pee-less', waterless.
Two compartments. One at the front for pee (both sexes have to sit to pee). One at the rear for solids. Sit on the seat & a cover opens. Essentially you crap in a bucket. Has a fan & vented like a SOG toilet. Constant airflow dries the solids which reduce in size (poo is 80% water) which the manufacturer say only needs emptying once a month for two adults. Bucket is lined with a compostable bag. We had a pit dug for disposal. When full will plant a tree. Urine is piped into the grey water trench. Although waterless we have a 'mandi' next to the toilet & will 'flush' after each pee .... this helps to prevent the build up of uric acid crystals in the pipe over time. As well as the venting, keeping urine & solids separates prevents an anaerobic 'sludge' forming & thus no odour problem. http://www.abetterwaytogo.com.au/separett-villa

Re: Cuppa & MrsTea update (pic heavy)
Interesting indeed but are there any problems to the system if you happen to do both at the same time?

Re: Cuppa & MrsTea update (pic heavy)
No because of the layout pee & solids just go to different places. Some women need to sit slightly more forward than they have been accustomed to, but it's not really an issue, just slightly different.
