Changing over telco carriers

Gave Telstra the flick and went to Southern phones, This coming Tues we switch the nbn thing over to sp who don't provide email service and we are going to use g mail. Question is do we sign on with gmail now or when we change over???? :?

Now! Do it straight away & start letting everyone in your address book know! (well maybe except a few? lol)
You may find Telstra stop your emails pretty quickly.
Send yourself an email (Telstra address) every day so you know when it stops working.
