Welcome home Dot.
Last night we had a humungous storm, so I stayed off the computer just to be sure of safety.
Today we drove down to Armidale, to the showgrounds where we will be working at the weekend. Last weekend was Armidale Show, so the showgrounds are still half full of showies and the huge trucks and rides etc. We had quite a time finding a reasonable level site. Almost settled in now. Sadly it seems the showies are staying on, for the towns Autumn festival, so the crowds will stay in town and not come out to us. Happened last year, so we are not really surprised.
I'm tired after all this drama, so off to a warm bed now.
Sleep well you lot, night night. xxx
Deborah

OMG how uncomfortable is my jaw right now, feels like Danny Green has been having a practice. Had the last step of the back molar's crown done this morning, a nice shining gold one, now to see if that has any effect on the tongue lesion. Trying to sip a milk shake but it is more like "slop a milkshake" The surveyor is due today to do the subdivision of the block :) Just before bed last night we heard a noise outside so G armed with the torch goes to investigate but saw 0 but this morning we found out what the noise was, a branch had broken off one of the trees in the yard so now he has to get the chainsaw out and clean that up. Fed Miss Lizzy a nice fat snail today as she came out of her hiding hole in G's shed to warm up on the bit of carpet near her flat. Glad someone is able to eat.

Had a root canal done just before my back op nearly 3 yrs ago, when we were due to leave 40 mile WA the tooth sheered off so emergency dentist in Karratha, 3 hrs in the chair of the poor girl pushing and pulling to get the thing out so no more of them for me. This crown I had done is the molar right up the back and is next to the tooth that had the root canal done. The dentist thinks I may be either allergic to the orig filling of amalgam so went for the gold as no allergy to that and it is extra smooth. The main reason for this dental stuff is I had a biopsy of a lesion on the side of my tongue and because it won't heal the dentist and oral surgeon are keeping an eye on it and trying everything before any further cutting is done. The biopsy returned a pos to dysplastic cells so have to keep an eye on it. Seeing the oral surg in a couple of months so by then we should know if the crown was the right way to go. As long as G man remembers to yank the gold out if I snuff it :)

There are so many materials for crowns these days. They are even using laser trimmed stone.

I have three, all gold. Two have root canals and one good tooth. My clinic prefers gold as its softer than the other materials and inert.... Plus, they can still drill though it if they need too.... My last root canal, the specialist took for ever to get the thing to sleep.. stubborn mongrel. I think it took 7/8 needles. He reckons, getting them asleep is properly is the trick, but takes forever...
