You just may run into a couple of the forum girls & boys that are somewhere up your way. Same weather crap down here, cool one day hot the next but haven't had either bad enough for any assistance from air con.

Picked up one of these Dometic Harrier rooftop A/C's today for $1850 cash, brand new with invoice, straight from the Dometic wharehouse in Adelaide.
You can't buy direct from the wholesaler, but I found a reseller that was more than happy to meet me there, get the unit and help me load it out the back.

If interested his name is Leigh Campbell and you can email him on lcaravans10@gmail.com.
I believe he will also send them but the price is then $1935 (IIRC) plus freight.
He also said he just got word of a price increase...

Cheers,

Bugga, that would have been perfect for me to install before Taggerty, just to rub it in a bit more  Reverse cycle air con run on the house batteries and solar, no time left now cause we have to be headed for Sydney Sunday some time.

Thats what we were doing at STC, 240 element for hot water, usually 2 x 30 mins dragging 85 amps and running the front rev cycle aircon while dining, then elec blankets and rear aircon until sleep and first thing in morning, both.
Try as I could the lowest I could pull the Liths to was 25.7

Kappy,

Your new setup is a 12V system. Busmans is a 24V system.

hope that fills in the missing link.

And mine is 48V!!
When people just say 85Amps it makes a real puzzle because is that at 12V, 24V or 48V???
Easier to quote watts & it works for any voltage....
85A is over 2000w for William.

Expect a max pull of up to 140amps with a 12v system. Practically it will be more like 70 to 80 when on cooling mode. On fan mode it can drop to 20 amps, and sometimes less
