Great to hear you have reached the end of this saga, half ya luck. Looks as though you will be in Dysart about the time we get back from Taggerty. We thought about doing the Broken Hill route for this trip to Sydney but it adds 300+km to the trip and we just don't have that much time to spare.
Enjoy your travels and the new winter house.
By the way, gave out a heap of those forum invitation cards at the Stone The Crows festival in Wagga so it will be interesting to see if we get any new memberships from it

Great news. I'm still kicking around Brisbane and hopefully heading off in a week or two. I will speak to as you get closer.

"tanks" here---
The problems never end !
I was in Perth for a farewell visit with friends before the big departure to the East and the air-con was not running to full efficiency so off to the air-con bloke. No gas in the system was the report, so the bloke put some gas and some dye in and said come back tomorrow morning for a check on the dye to show any leaks.
Yes, he found the leak was caused by two hoses rubbing together where a hose clamp had not been fitted when the engine was replaced. Skippers Trucks (who replaced the engine) have ceased trading, but I have a 150,000 labour/parts warranty on the new engine---Skippers do not have a service dept anymore. so another claim for the cost of repair and re-gas of the air-con by Daimler Trucks.
The service manager from Skippers is now the service manager for Daimler Trucks, and he remembered me and the insurance problem with the engine replacement. All fixed now and I have to wear thick wool socks to keep my feet warm. I don't need a car freezer for the WEIS BARS now, just put them near the air-con outlet.
I had the auto elect guy [Nationwide AutoElectric, MALAGA WA] put some led lights in the house with a switch at the entry stairwell, and also some Hi-Rise stop/turn/tail led lights on the rear of the van. The house lights are operated by a switch which is on the back wall of the house which means that at night time you have to go all the way to the back of the house in the dark before you get the house lights on. Not a good situation with Mr Russell under your feet. AVIDA have addressed this in their new models.
My departure to the East was delayed while all of this was going on , however, I should be mobile and on the road next week.
Keith.

I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

Well. I thought that I would be mobile this week but the china-man has raised his ugly head again.
My radio and the rear view camera have blown their brains on me, no radio and the rear view monitor keeps turning itself on and off and changing camera views. MOST DISTRACTING when driving.
I have ordered a new wireless rear view camera setup, and now have to wait for postal delivery. I have a radio I can use to replace the existing no-go unit, and all of this means another trip to the auto electrician when the austpost arrives sometime next week.
I now hope to be on the road within 2 weeks.

The safety car is still out on the track
better to get these things sorted before the departure day.
