The club asked that all questions be sent to NHQ so that all the candidates can answer and all members can view through the CMCA website including the 65000 members who aren't registered on the forum. Sounds fair to me.

This was clearly posted on the forum.

A few seconds after posting my invitation at about 7am this morning, my post was promptly removed with no online notification of my post being removed/deleted.

Several hours later I received a PM from moderator 6 stating that, "Please be advised that your recent Post # 31366 is under review to determine it's suitability under the Forum User Agreement and terms as set by NHQ".

I post the above to make CMCA members aware of what is going on in our Club. What sort of organisation would seek to stifle a candidate's ability to have dialogue with members prior to an election.

I sincerely hope my post removal was due to moderator error rather than CMCA policy.
There is no requirement for notification of moderator action.
The reasons were stated in the original post by NHQ.
You did state some time ago that you had your pm options turned off over there.

"Next week, we will be releasing a specific platform and procedure for members to ask the candidates questions. These questions, and subsequent answers by the candidates, will be placed on the WEBSITE ONLY."

Yes George I am well aware of that.

Yes Janette I am also aware of that. But why would the club take a position to stifle a candidate from engaging in dialogue with members? It is one thing to have heavy handed moderation on a forum, quite another to suppress dialogue twixt candidates for office and members.

And let us look at the new process. We need to send an email to NHQ. Someone there who may or may not have a bias is going to receive them, collate them and no doubt bin them as well. Thus we end up with sanitised Dorothy Dix questions and answers, thereby providing safe passage for the anointed candidates. No scruitiny, no member reply, and no rebuttal. It that what CMCA members deserve?

Janette you are giving me an assurance of no bias?

Convince me and a good many others as well?

We both know that we would not be having this discussion on the CMCA forums, would we Janette?
