Ok fine Bruce. I did not mean the topic to be exclusively CMCA, just a general discussion on Insurance pro's and cons. We are thinking of changing from KT and just wanted to read other members views.

I have to say that KT has been great for us. Our one time of going elsewhere was not a good decision. We discovered we were not covered for the windscreen the hard way.

Most unfortunate for you Martin. Might I enquire as to the name of the insurance company that declined your windscreen claim?

Re: Let's talk insurance.
We are upping the bus coverage from 90k to 150k, somewhere in that region (probably $100k) you go from a having to provide a few photos and written details, plus your money- to a fully assessed vehicle by a 3rd party. This was required by both KTI and CIL.
CIL ended up about 20% cheaper and offer a new windscreen every year with no questions. Interesting -a windscreen for me would be more than half the annual cost of the insurance at over $800.
Not sure about some of the fine print in either policy, a downfall of mine

Re: Let's talk insurance.
That sounds odd Martin.
I wouldn't have thought any insurance business could/would refuse a legitimate w/screen claim these days. Most seem to allow one in any 12mth period.
They say you didn't specify it on your policy, did they list it as an exclusion on your policy ?

Re: Let's talk insurance.
It's often the little things that we don't consider that can become important.
e.g. Loss or damage to the Vehicle and Van anywhere in Australia including whilst being transported by sea.
The inclusion of cover for vehicles transported by sea is not a usual inclusion in RV insurance policies.
Ken Tame cannot be beaten on cover and service IMHO, although a cheaper policy with a less suitable cover may exist.
