Petrol was over $2 at Kings Canyon and very close to it at ripoff rock.... sorry didn't look at diesel prices, and we were not using the fancy super doper stuff, just the regular unleaded stuff. :o :o :o

Home sweet home Alice Springs :D Left the fuel docket for Marla in the car and can't be bothered getting it, sorry.

There were two lines of cars and caravans at the bowsers at Erldunda, all the way back to the Uluru road
The carpark was packed to the brim. It was insane.

We were lucky enough to hit the road again behind a road train and he cleared the road of vans, they all pulled off the road. They must be like me and not like them up your quoit. Had a beautiful run the couple of hundred k's to Alice.

Shop for supplies tomorrow and then out to the station where I don't think we will have internet for a while  I trust Dot will keep a close eye on you all :D and I'll be back as soon as I can. I'll have withdrawals.

Janelle.

Thanks Janelle, Look forward to your next update. Are you far off the main road in Alice? thought about a catch up? Is there much chatter on the UHF?

Today was another sunny day so I got the weed sprayer out and went for it, winter grass in the lawn done, roses sprayed for black spot and bugs, then the paddock half done for bindi, used the red dye to keep track of where I had done. Probably do the rest tomorrow than might get time to go out to give mum & dad a bit of a spray before we head off. And to top the day off I did a couple of stews in the slow cooker and now in the freezer so I am buggered to say the least. Need an easy recipe for chicken breasts (slow cooker) suitable to freeze. :)

Hi Ms Dot :D We will be about 300k's out of town and need to get stuck straight into work so unfortunately no catch up possible this time around. :( Maybe next year or when we get our bus, whichever happens first?

We don't have a radio, just used our hand helds to chat to each other, helped pass a few miles.

You've had a busy day, hope you've got your feet up!

Dot you sound like a weed expert. Do you happen to know of any weed herbicide that will eliminate oxalis?

Just a drop of mineral turps at the base of the plant stem, or dig all the bulbs out and then sit back and watch the missed ones grow again. :(
Experience is a wonderful thing. It helps you recognise a mistake when repeated.
