Hi guys. Maryanne and I have noticed that a goodly number of members of this wonderful speakeasy forum are either current or ex CMCA members. We are currently considering our position with respect to continuing our membership or otherwise. We have been CMCA members for over a decade.
To the current CMCA members might we ask, what entices you to remain?
To the ex CMCA members might we ask, what motivated your decision, what alternatives (if any) did you persue, and how do you feel about it now?
Please no flame throwing, just your thoughts presented in a reasonable manner.
Thanks John and Maryanne

Before any of you answer, please think carefully about how you word it.
I think we all remember how trigger happy CMCA was about threatening legal action?

Re: Life after the CMCA?
Pretty simple really, joined a club not a corporation and felt members no longer had any say, plus the direction it was heading as a company, wasn't what we saw as useful as we wanted to belong to MH club.justgarbage wrote: ↑Sun Jul 02, 2017 10:46 am To the ex CMCA members might we ask, what motivated your decision, what alternatives (if any) did you persue, and how do you feel about it now?

I joined to access their forum, and then they shut it down! Was rudderless for a while then found these forums and have been mainly reading ever since. All reports of the new CMCA forum give no incentive to rejoin to regain access.

Re: Life after the CMCA?
Hi,
We joined so we could access the forum and to get discounted insurance for when we ever get a bus. I don't know anything about the club setup or politics and I am not interested. I found the forum to be very quiet and I haven't looked there in ages.
Janelle.

Thanks Bill. How big a part does having a forum where you can speak your mind add to your overall RV experience?
