Victorian Road Rule changes from July 1st

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Did manage to drive one of your 52 ton monsters though, great fun, handling a crash box in my coach is no issue after that.

"tanks" here---So, I am guessing that you were 2 Cav before they relocated to Darwin. I was both 1st Armoured Regiment and 2/14 Queensland Mounted Infantry, so both Tanks and Cav on my part. My history includes Staghounds, Ferrets, and Saracens. and the NEW Austin Champs when they were introduced to replace the Jeep; all about the 1956/57/58 era. It would be great to spin a few tales if we ever meet on the road.
Keith.
I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

We did core training at the Armoured Centre there, going to Melbourne on leave or a weekend was a real eye opener.
After blitzing the Cross in Sydney till daylight during basic training leave, Melb was scary, not a soul on the streets after the pubs closed.
We soon learned that there was just as much raging going on, but not out in the open like Sydney, all behind closed doors, once you knew someone that knew someone, you were set.
Hi William
I did my recruit training in Kapooka and went to Pucka for core training at Armoured Centre and stayed there for the rest of my 3 years. When we went travelling in 2011 I gave all my army memorabilia except for a few things like drivers licence, pay book and discharge certificate to the RSL museum in Port Augusta.
We spent most weekends in Melbourne, a mate's parents owned a motel.
Regards Geoff
