I take the choosing seriously. Have now scored the candidate's answers after they were posted on the web. Simple to get answers once the scores went into a decision matrix. New blood is going to get my vote. A bit of Hybrid Vigor would do the board good.

Re: CMCA Elections 2017
Question: (noting that I'm a CMCA member)
Why do CMCA members have to discuss CMCA issues on non CMCA forums?
Most of the active members here have chosen to leave CMCA, and the lack of CMCA topics made here a refreshing place to visit.
Just as an observation, this forum has subtly undergone a shift in the types of posts recently and the chit/chat banter posts are noticeably less.
Curiously, the AMH forum has recently deleted their CMCA folder.

Because some of us (especially me) are unable to discuss them over there!
You might also check out the number of views as well Jon. It would seem the topic is popular.

And who rated what Iza? We all know the candidate allocated numbers.
My ratings 1 = 5, 2 = 3, 3 = 8, 4 = 7
I am happy to discuss the ratings that I gave. But no names of course!

Re: CMCA Elections 2017
Pretty close to my scoring. I have added an X factor score to my grid. A small minus for old school, small plus for "been around" with age and experience, and a very small plus for youth and energy and development potential.
I don't see any "issues" being discussed here, only some comments on the election progress. I doubt even this level of comment would be allowed over there.

Re: CMCA Elections 2017
Bit of a revolving door issue, same thing every year over and over and nothing seems to change. I only look at CMCA threads to see if anything has changed and it hasn't.justgarbage wrote: ↑Fri Jul 07, 2017 7:26 pm You might also check out the number of views as well Jon. Re: CMCA Elections 2017
Sadly that is the case Iza.
Maryanne tells me that candidate 2 supporters have opened a thread over there expressing support. Perhaps they also scored candidate 2 as we did and are a bit worried.
I do hope that members intending to vote thoroughly read the Candidates Q & A and make up their own minds.

I was quite surprised with the candidates responses. Candidate 4 is firming and to my surprise Candidate 3 appears to be the dark horse. It will be interesting to see if supplementary questions are allowed.

Native pepper you will see more posts on here from CMCA members, including those charged with swinging the sledgehammer, than you will over there.native pepper wrote: ↑Sat Jul 08, 2017 8:36 am Bit of a revolving door issue, same thing every year over and over and nothing seems to change. This forum has a short set of sensible rules. Moderators actions on here are the exception rather than the norm, thus the harmony that we all enjoy.
Over there the rules are humongous and enforcement brutal. No wonder so many CMCA members now call OZeRVnews home.
Re: CMCA Elections 2017
I think we need to change the perception of the CMCA being and old boys club. And yes I know that there are female directors.
