No sump on the original Terry exactly the same so is my neighbour's with the same engine .
There would be no way to get to the conrod nut/bolts without a complete break down of the compressor , which cant be done without removing the compressor .
No work done today had some other urgent stuff to do .
Not looking forward to the nut removal plus there is a wedging collet as well .
About now it would be good of Jon to tell me in English what 588 killanuutons are? In normal Assie talk no metric . I still work in PSI just like my tension wrench .

If he has a 3ft lever and enough room he will be able to jump on it.

I'm toying with the idea of maybe using the wheel nut torque remover thingy if I can find away to locate it. For removal .
Thoughts .

Re: Bernie and Carols Isuzu fit out.
If you can locate a good hire place you can hire a torque multiplier and 3/4"drive stuff as that is well beyond 1/2"drive capabilities. My torque multiplier for wheel nut removal is 1" drive..... what size socket did you need?

Re: Bernie and Carols Isuzu fit out.
Tightest nut I ever had to get off was a Citroen rear wheel bearing.
It was specced at 250 Ft/Lb from memory and a 50 something mm socket required.
I bought a 3/4 drive socket, had a 2 ft bar, wouldn't budge.
Ended up jumping up and down on a 5 ft bar to get it off.
So I don't envy you getting that bugga off.
Cheers,

Re: Bernie and Carols Isuzu fit out.
When I went and got a gearbox, clutch and flywheel for a chap several months ago I removed the starter motor & used a short 1/2" socket set drive extension to prop between the starter motor housing and a tooth on the flywheel. If I was installing it I would have reversed the direction of the extension.
Perhaps not try that with yours Bernie because it might pop off a few teeth on the ring gear!!
Rattle gun would be a better idea maybe?
Left hand thread Bernie? Nah!
