Dot, make sure you do the National Road Transport Museum - about 6k south of town at the original Stuart railway station. Fantastic.

I believe if you wish to help a little bit (customer relations, cleaning, restorations etc) You get to camp free there?
Is that still happening?

Not quite free. It was $10 per day when we stayed there last, plus 10 hours per week per person (although it was expected that you work a 40 hour week) when numbers of volunteers are low

Re: Doooottttttttt, where are you???
G went into town today to get his vitB inj so he went to the cp that he chose and he asked for a discount and got the grand total of $28 off the total bill, better than nothing. I thought we were going there today but there was no vacancy until Saturday so we are still near the airport. Lots of virgins and kangaroos coming and going as well as heaps of smaller planes and a hellicopter now and again.. Nice and quiet here, no scardy cats right up the exhaust pipe either
actually none have even been in.

Dot, you can go to sites like flightradar and track the flights before the land.
https://www.flightradar24.com/
There are some interesting flights like the fleet of balloons at 60,000 feet over Africa and Southern Europe

The bus and toad are filthy once again with that nice orange/red dirt.
Thanks Jon, that is really interesting esp when you see all the planes all over the world
