Well for those of us who supported Photobucket all these years we've been held to ransom!
Just lately I've seen on many forums where linked photos aren't displaying.
By paying the 'ransom' to allow these pictures to display on 3rd party websites we are giving in? Aren't we?
They can stick it where the sun don't shine in my opinion.
For years they have been making a fortune by selling the ads that display on those pages & now they want more? Yeah right!!
Hundreds, if not thousands, of sites suddenly have no pictures on them.
eg... Norman's Photobucket site... http://s423.photobucket.com/user/podieNZ/profile/
Or the truck site ... https://www.hcvc.com.au/forum/truck_Cha ... truck-pics
Totally destroyed most old posts?
Anyone else noticed it?

These issues started over a month ago Bruce, not something we can do much about other than desert photobucket as they've deserted us.

Re: PhotoBucket? (or not!)
It's ruined many forums and lots more threads.
If they were even the slightest bit reasonable in the fee they want i reckon many of us would have upgraded, but not for the ridiculous amount they are trying to extort.
Very bad form.
I've started using this one instead now. https://postimages.org
Cheers,

You're right about that... the loss of information in various sources is massive.El Gringo wrote:It's ruined many forums and lots more threads.

Regarding the subscription, if they had started off reasonably there would have been plenty of "bums on seats", meaning they would have generated healthy income... which they actually could have ratcheted up slowly over time. I believe that coming in with the fee schedule they have chosen will ultimately be recorded as an epic fail. They have shot themselves in the foot... or quite possibly the head... as I have not heard of one person happy to pay, they're all just bailing out to alternative services. Without active users, the business model is worthless.
Cheers,
Steve
