Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!
Been up for a couple of hours Bernie, Julie has been hogging the one computer we brought with us. Unfortunately, we will be heading for (Launceston) Correction, Aukland airport tomorrow on our way home.

Did you go on the mail run (cream trip)?
Queen of the Banal & OT chatter and proud of it. If it offends you then tough titty titty bang bang.
Dot, couldn't find any reference to a Mail Run but went on a 4 hour cruise around the islands out to the Hole In The Rock and Lighthouse but unfortunately my camera died prior.

Did a hilarious lunch time gig yesterday for a retirement village. Don't think we will play there again, as the bureaucrat staff were not the happy their patients were having a ball, dancing in their wheel chairs, bopping on their walking sticks, clapping and cheering loudly.
Some of them walking wheeled out a really old lady who was bedridden, with tubes coming out everywhere. They wheeled her bed and bottles out of her room into the entrance to where we played, blocking the door. She was bopping away, so the staff went potty claiming she should have quiet in her last days and when she started to scream, when they wanted to put her back in her room, they left in a huff to the cheers of the audience.
We were booked for just an hour, as they had to do the drug distribution before they all rested. But they refused to let us stop and so it ended up a hour and 3/4 before they tired. Then it took us a long time to get out of the place because they wanted to chat and ask us for requests for next time, we had to carry our gear past all their rooms and just about everyone was at their door wanting us to stop and chat and we did.
Lovely time, but the head bureaucratic drop kick was very grumpy with us for going on and said they wouldn't pay for the extra time. To which we all said, don't want any money, got paid enough from the reaction of the audience and great laughs from the staff reactions. Might have stuffed it there, but some of the nurses whispered as we went by, they loved every minute of it.
What a great reaction good on you i say [emoji2][emoji2]

G'day David, thanks for that. Not sure what the day will bring today, it's still dark and have to take our bass player to the airport soon, they are heading to WA for family reasons for a few weeks. Which will give me the time to do some more on the bus, before needing it again.
That's why we do those gigs, being pretty old ourselves, we realise how little entertainment and joy they get. We look at it as a community service and just ask $20 each for a gig, if you don't charge something, others think they can get free gigs off you.
They are always enjoyable, the smiles on people faces is enough for us. When on the road we do these types of gigs on the week days as well, just about all rural nursing or retirement homes never get entertainment, nor do their towns. So that's where we play now, hour gigs for homes and 3 hr gigs for pubs clubs etc.
Wonderfull hope we can have a sample one day [emoji38]
