Hi Helen, there is a great spot near Toodyay, around 300km towards Perth from where you are now. Beside the river with a short walk to good toilets, some truck noise but not real bad. A popular spot on week ends so best to get set up early so you get to keep your spot, but the natives are friendly.

Certainly a nice spot when it isn't raining, if you stay on the hard stand even the rain isn't an issue and there is a path to the loo through the wet area. The natives are friendly, happy to invite you to their campfire for a yarn and share a few cool drinks.
the sign says the water is contaminated but I'm assured that is only when the river is low and it was moving very fast when we were there. Signs/memorials all around the area for people killed under that bridge on the river race they have there each yr, so best be careful when paddling the feet
