Hi Dot

Sorry to hear about your troubles, hope all goes well for you.

It's been a busy few months, Sharyn finally found a house to rent in Pakenham and we were going to store the bus at Beconsfield Residential Park where she was staying but they are putting in more cabins and there was no room for the bus, so was a quick trip over and bring "Bob" back to Adelaide before the rego ran out.

I went back to Melbourne with a trailer load of furniture on the 3rd, we flew to Sydney on the 7th ( after putting James on a plane to Launceston to see his father) and went on Cruizing Country 7 to Nomea and Port Vila for 8 days with 30+ country and western artists on Radiance of the Seas.

I stayed in Sydney with Sharyn (she worked the week there) flew back to Melbourne last Wednesday, James flew in an hour after me and we stayed at Pakenham, next day drove to Adelaide.

Now I have to do all the jobs on the house to get it ready to sell. My motto has been "never do today what you can put off till tomorrow" so will be flat out because the real estate agent wants it on the market the first week of January.

Well this has taken me nearly all the way home on the train to type on my iPad, that's why I ring everyone. James had a music exam in the city that's why I'm on a train.

Regards Geoff

Gotta link? It would be interesting to see if it was actually a battery fire or a petrol fire like all the others. There are those out there that will put any negative spin they can on electric vehicles, the same as they do with lithium batteries and ethanol fuel, solar and wind power etc etc, some have a lot to loose ;)

According to the news I saw, it was a battery fire, but cause by a faulty alternator.

Pretty sure it was a camry too, not a prius.

Cheers.

Hi El Gringo

That link is August 13 2016, just re watched Thursday nights news and the reporter said "the fault is believed to have started from a battery stored in the boot of the hybrid car"

Regards Geoff

PS I usually delete all the news recordings but decided not to as the TIVO is finishing Oct 30.

Oops sorry about that, thought it was the same one.
Yes the news stated a battery in the boot caught fire, but I thought they also said it wasn't the direct cause, that they suspected it was an alternator failure... :? Something about a warning light that should have light up to warn the driver..

I recall that it didn't look like a Prius, really looked like a hybrid Camry.

Cheers,
Bernie
