Parked up in karratha, mooching off telstra air. Will try the fox later😆

If that is also available when the NBN is connected by fibre then go with Telstra as the service provider. That way you still use the data allowance on home set up when travelling as long as you are in range of a Telstra hotspot and you only need to use your mobile data when out of range.

I set up our internet to use Phon and Telstra air before we left Mandurah last April thinking to use Telstra Air for most of our internet service .
We're currently in Melb , F.T.Gully.after being around nearly all Australia and this is the first time we've been able to connect to either service !

Telstra make it sound great but being Telstra it isn't available where you need it yet ( maybe in 10 years or so )
We use about 15G a month for downloads and the usual data gobbling stuff on a business plan with casual disconnect for when we finish travelling this year ( or next ) so Telstra air would be a bit of a saving for us, if we could actually get it

Bl**dy NBN, page not available then looses the text from the post

I wonder if a Yagi directional hi gain antenna would work so you could zoom in on a Telstra Air hotspot somewhere.
As far as the wireless NBN, an absolute joke 2.5 km out of central Mannum, a letter via Aussie post would be faster and we don't get a mail delivery here. Connected up the phone as a mobile hotspot on Optus and bingo ...... wonder if I can ask for my money back on this NBN rubbish. Might have been ok if it was implemented as designed, but a complete flop out this way on the "revised" connection method ..... Telstra and the others with their 4G networks must be laughing their butts off ....... or is there more to this than is being made public knowledge

Maybe if you adjusted your figures a little you might be eligible for the Sat Sky Muster NBN.

I knew a chap that had a friend way out near Sandstone WA that applied for Sky Muster, got it all about a week before the place was sold.
Currently it gets used on the van when on the road.
So if you have a few distant mates ? ? ?
