Hi Folks another sad day .
My old mate across the road from me passed away on Sunday he was in his late eighty's . Every Friday I would take their garbage bin in for them and sit down and have a chat for 1/2 hour or so . Noel and Anne had 57 years together . Anne was a airline hostess with Ansett which she had to relinquish once married . Noel was a hydraulics' engineer . They had a great time together they travelled the world on their own yacht . Till selling on then bought a land yacht (caravan) and travelled this great country we live in for several more years till it became to much for them . the caravan is still in the yard on blocks and used as visitors accommodation .
Unfortunately with this "wog" I have I haven't been over to hold Anne and give he a hug . We have been txting . They have two sons who are up from the Gold coast .
Noel also ran open wheeler race cars, formula V's his race team was called BuzVee . I was told he ran the car around our suburban streets a couple of times but that was before we moved here .
So another mate has moved on , I will miss him today as its "garbo" day . I will have a beer for him .

Sad news Bernie I have a Noel living across the road from me too who is 85.
Did he Race the fv in nsw or only in qld if nsw i may have known him.
