Good evening folks,
Progress on the coach has been far slower than desired, plenty of work done but that has been done to other projects.
Cupboards are under construction for the bedroom area and the overhead cupboards for the lounge area and above the slide room.
I have started doing the wall covering and ceiling, began at the front and working my way back from there. Completed the slide room which was more fiddly than I initially thought it would be.
I have stared looking at floor coverings now, I began with the idea of a floating floor but have come to the conclusionthat may be a problem unless it is glued down? I would be interested to know what others have used on the flooring in the lounge/kitchen/bedroom and as importantly in the bathroom/toilet?

We used a good quality vinyl around $50 per metre .Will put a picture up later or tomorrow.
It was put down first every thing is on top no cutting in.

I used cork tiles throughout, easy to keep clean and provided insulation and sound deadening. they are glued down but can be easily reconditioned if necessary, a light sand and recoat.

We used the vinyl planks all through the bus . They haven't moved at all as they were glued down.

Thanks Dot,
I saw these at Bunnings, how long have you had them down. Have you had any shrinking?
Cheers, Alan

We got these from Carpet court and have had no shrinkage. A friend of ours is a vinyl layer and he did the job, it is time consuming but worth it. I also liked the cork tiles.

Re: Progress to December
I laid about 120 M2 of vinyl planks at home without gluing apart from perimeter double sided tape but before doing so I spread the planks about to acclimatise with the building. After approx 2 years I have a couple of minor gaps. I will point out that the planks were laid against skirting in order to minimise movement.
