I'M BACK!

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

I'M BACK!

Post by Greynomad »

After a short period incommunicado, due to technical problems, I'm back on air!
We were reduced to using our smartphones for limited internet connection (banking etc), but now have the FULL SCREEN of the laptop back.
It's amazing the difference a 15" screen makes!

We plan to upgrade to an iPad as soon as the Bank Manager smiles at us.
(Come to think of it, that could be shortly after Hell freezes. :( )

So, people...
PREPARE TO REPEL BOARDERS!!!

Despite my background including a stint in IT (mind you, that was 25 years ago! ), I was a bit taken aback when said laptop was submitted to the local techs to explore What Was Wrong...
They entered its serial number into the Apple database, then told me that, as it's a 2009 model, it comes up as "OBSOLETE"! :o

They've fixed it (17 malware threats, among other things), but we will take their recommendation to upgrade to an iPad v. soon.
I hope my bluetooth keypad will connect... otherwise I'll have to buy a new one. :D ;)
Saw on Apple's website there is a new cover which incorporates a 3mm thin keypad. Now THAT's on my Santa list!

:D :D :P

The 'next generation' won't know how to use it - it being a pedal powered version.

 Hmmm...
Not so good news.
Problem returned within 24 hours, despite Telstra AND Apple techs assurance that the problem was fixed.
Ongoing for FOUR MONTHS now!
I’m now letting the TIO throw brickbats at Telstra for me.
Been reduced to phone access to the internet again.
Will return to the fray when I’m shot of Telstra.
Smile everyone, you can use creative spelling for a while yet. 😜

I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.
