Any of you old farts use MSM ? That's methylsulfonylmethane for the uninitiated.

Had some visitors yesterday who were up for knee replacements as unable to walk, now does jogging to help with weight control !

Seems worth investigating at the every least. They did specify that must be crystal form, the powder can be cut with fillers (sounds like good old aussie drug dealers). Am going to give it a go, but wondered if anyone here has tried it first ?

Think I'd be rather cautious about asking for a bag of crystal meth for the relief of joint pain ...... cause there is another crowd claiming a few joints are good for all sorts of ailments ..... didn't you get the lecture about a slippy path from soft drugs to the hard stuff when you was a youngster

Interesting that you've had friends with good results from MSM.
I'd certainly be interested in giving it a try after a bit more research.
Just a quick read leads me to believe noticable results can be achieved in 2-3 weeks.

Are you looking at a particular brand William ?

The recommended is from mismo.com.au, they have both crystal and distilled, which is an extremely pure form, that is what we have purchased.
Not expensive when you compare it with a knee replacement, which horrifies me, and seems no side effects apart from a more youthful appearance to your skin !
The visitors have put quite a few people onto it and very few have had no improvement, for me word of mouth is good advertising.

Not a lifestyle change, basically just replacing something we lose as we get older.

I have read one study that says it is active within 45 minutes. But most say results in a couple of weeks.

Stuff arrived, says between 2 and 6 grams a day so took a single hit of 5 grams, will split that from tomorrow into 2, with food.
Pretty tasteless, just stir into water.

I read that about Elmiron from Dr Google too and wondered why the quack put me on that for bone on bone shoulder joint and arthritis every where else...??? Mobic is the other one (Meloxicam) .I havent found either to do much.

So ya reckon I should give it a go you folk...??? tell the doc first but...!!!
