Had a fantastic afternoon with my old school friend remembering how naughty we were but we never did anything too naughty that we got into trouble with police Hard to believe it was over 55yrs ago Tomorrow we are heading out the road in the bus away from the stupid fireworks and neighbours and their doof doof music until the wee hrs. Hope everyone has a happy healthy new year, drive safe and watch out for the morons out there. Oh Dot, I just wish the fireworks were kept to only NYE. In our home neighbourhood, fireworks are so common and the coppers dont have the time to really do much about them.
Had a quiet Jayco day, a lot of laughs with some eccentric peoples (I fit in well) and shared some cold ones too.
I need some ugly sleep now, so off to slumber,

After I wrote to you all last night, we had a richard cranium start up a blue with his missus at 2;30AM. His language was not so delightful and at full pelt, followed by him turning the radio on full bore and the missus turning it off, interspersed with various forms of the F word. SO that is the third night in a row, that I have not really had a good sleep. The previous nights, one was a caravan, in for just one night, allowed the kids to play football in the van for a couple of hours after midnight. The night before last, was one of our own members. They arrived next to us, quite late and at 2AM took the dog for a wee walk. Slammed the door both out and in trips, then she started to giggle and the van rocked for the next hour. Truly, I am one very grumpy dragon today.
Once most of the campers left today, we spent some time, just wandering and checking out sizes of various sites (proximity of neighbours is not going to be an issue ever again)
so now I am going to bed to read and will have some real sleep tonight (I hope)

Last night's saga was a blasted tenter. He decided to rebuild his set up at 1am. I lost the plot by then, so shouted out to get himself to bed. He stopped banging tent pegs and pulling velcro after my first swear word. When I surfaced this morning, he had moved his whole set up much further away.
We decided that the lack of sleep was not good, so took a long slow pack up and headed for home a day early. It was nice not rushing to be out by 10, so I did have a long shower and gradually packed up the van. We left at noon and then encountered a lot of thick traffic at Hexham, that really slowed us down for an extra hour. The van is half unpacked, the rest will happen tomorrow.
You really do have fun in those caravan parks don't you Deborah? G got all clear from his endoscopy adventure so he is happy chappie. Both of us off to hairdresser tomorrow been nearly 9 weeks since my last hair cut so feeling a bit feral, G is having his usual 6 or so hairs cut and finishes off with a cut and polish.
