The Honda goes like a cut cat but it’s not for chasing animals. It will be for going out and checking and fixing fences when and if it rains.
The debris in the creeks causes the fences to be washed away. The Toyota would get bogged.

The boat. We don’t know Bruce. Even though this station has been in Jock’s family for 70 odd years, we just don’t know.

We have solar pumps on some pretty big dams and after wading in and sinking to my knees in mud (very tricky to walk!) I have threatened that I will moor it at the dam for such occasions.

Morning all , I had a bugga of a day yesty . I had the road worthy people come to my place for a road safety cert , I bought the Delica unregistered .
All good with the safety check then into Biggenden for CTP 300 od dollars . Then the drive to Childers court house to pay the rego ... THEN.... half way there I started to run out of forward motion...crikey I said...or words like that. So lifted the bonnet engine still on idle and bugga me the two hose's to the intercooler were FLAT , so I turned off the engine and hose's were all good again............started engine and same thing happened .
Luckily I had phone service not always a gimmy out here . So rang a mate of mine who also owns a Delica (he's in Vic) and we talked thru what was going on . He asked me to take the air filter cover off and tell him if I could see any thing blocking the out let...Another crikey moment...the air filter was not exactly as it should have been , a big majority of it wasn't there it had been sucked into the intercooler ( I had not checked the filters since buying the vehicle last Friday) bad mistake!... Anyhoo he suggested removing the two hose's that go to the intercooler and see what happens I had a screw diver with me another lucky moment . Bingo engine running fine again .He said I could still drive like that just be way down on power (puffed a bit of black smoke as well) Another motorist pulled up about this time and he was a mechanic and he said the same as my mate I thanked him for stopping .
So I slowly went the rest of the way to Childers payed the rip off money and continued home (with new plates on vehicle)
Next after the engine area was cool enough for my delicate fingers I removed all the offending bits and cleaned them within a inch of their lives . The intercooler I blew out with my garden leaf blower I needed big volume because of the size of the hole , it did blow some air cleaner foam out but not a lot . Put everything back together and its running good again......at this stage I don't have any air cleaner in it , We are off the Elliott Heads for 10 days from tomorrow so will get new air cleaner's in Bundaberg . The car will stay at home till our return .
