Smokin' House cleaning

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Smokin' House cleaning

Post by RobertNotBob »

We have started in on the house cleaning and sorting out over the last two days trying to make a start to a possible move.

The good wife has been cleaning out a large cupboard where every thing ends up that does not have a home. My task was the bedroom next to the cupboard which had my work gear and the caravan/ camp cooking gear.

Came across a box I had purchased from Aldi over 12 months ago and thought I might as well assembly it as I have a good use for it now. After finishing out side at 10:30am it already 36c and with cricket on in a couple of hours on came the aircon and out came the trusty phillips head screw driver.

A short time later the end results.

A friend of mine was clearing out the house to sell it when it caught fire. It went out three times before the fire brigade got there!

Fired the smoker up last night just to season it, let it run hor about 1 1/4hrs. Even at the lowest setting it was 220c just right for a long slow cook using the lest gas.

Sorry should have read 220 F as most American smoking site and recipes that I have looked at recommend 225 to 235 F for slow smoking so once I am satisfied I will then convert to our system.
