Box Trailer Insurance

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Box Trailer Insurance

Post by mottleemob »

Does anyone have their trailer insured? I just bought a trailer for $2000.00 and have insured it the premium was $75.00 I think is worth it.

Certainly worth it for the run you will be doing. We will be doing the same when we head of one car towing the van and another a trailer.

Did you buy secondhand and what size? Who did you insure with?

Cheers Robert

I'm guessing this is for theft or to repair damage to the trailer in case of an accident where you were at fault. As far as damage caused to another vehicle, I think the tow vehicle insurance covers that as well as the personal injury insurance that is part of the tow vehicle rego covers person injury cause by the trailer.

That took quite a bit of work to get all the quotes inside quotes thing sort, but I thinks I got it sorted this time :D
We had/have a perfect remedy for the trailer theft thing, leave it full of rubbish. Do ya reckon the lazy a*holes would have the energy to actually unload it? They certainly wouldn't pay tip fees to empty it so chances are there would be photographs of them dumping your rubbish in the bush some where so you would have a trail for the cops to follow

Went to Caloundra to have a look, they sell through a local motel and the chinese block in the office knew nothing about then. Bucketing down so did not hang around, will call them Monday.

Phil I presume the sides are only 300mm high, did you increase to 500mm high?
What is the Tare weight if full load is 750kg?

Thanks Robert
