Commonwealth Games

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Dottie my Girl an explanation for you.
In times gone by we Australians used to fly the boxing Kangaroo flag during sporting events to supposedly show our pride in our Country and the Athletes taking part.
But have become so dissolution about the way our country is being degraded by the powers to be that really getting a bit ashamed to produce it any more so best it stays in the drawer from which it came.
Hows that, explain it for you

"Gee bought my boxing kangaroo flag etc to display my so called pride then was glad I waited that extra day and rolled it up again."
Maybe he thought someone would look at it and take pity on him ;) Riveting the pulley thing to the top of his "pole" so he could hoist the flag up took a lot of the smile off his face and he couldn't seem to keep the pole standing up in the strong winds ... I'll let you add an innuendo to that bit Dottles, so after all that he decided to put it away again, both the flag and his now injured "Pride" ;)

We have to be proud of our athletes achievements, our swimmers were hugely successful clean sweeps in I think 7 of the events our lawn bowlers too, we really enjoyed watching the games.
Dot did you watch the boys in Lycra competing in the velodrome? The cyclists did us proud too.

Agree with George the opening ceremony was to drawn out, some sections were good but others just went on & on, especially the indigenous section, no wonder Camellia looked bored :o

The youngest son barbecues kangaroo meat, haven't tried it myself just doesn't appeal to me, but he says it is good for you lean, very little fat.

Watching the closing of the games, certainly better than the opening, the artists involved have been great.
