Bernie and Carols "NEW" adventure
Re: Bernie and Carols "NEW" adventure
Hi everyone thought I would do a up date . We have been busy tripping round the north west coast of Tassie . Doing all the touristy stuff plus other places , Yesterday we went to the Arthur River for a trip plus dropping into Marrawah they hold surfing comps there then onto Arthur River and the edge of the world we have been there before about 10 tears ago , last time was in summer and we froze this time in winter and it was 18 degrees ??? I tried to push
Carol off the edge but she seen me coming (haha) . Then we back tracked to Edith Creek and the Rodger river for a look see .
When we got home I grabbed the camera and went up on top of the "Nut" to take some pictures , Carol stayed home as she has a sore knee . Friday night we dinned at the Golf Club with Chris and Val friends of Macca and Swisslulu , it was the clubs 50th birthday unknown by us at the time so was packed out , but we managed to have a good time .
We have done other side trips to Smithton and other small communities , plus Carols favourite pass time "opp shops" she is after a snow jacket I bought one for myself back in Ulverstone for $6.50 (bargain).
Side note and of no importance to others my Nephew won a car in a com at the Launceston airport a few months ago...and bugga me if he just last week win a trip to the USA for two for two weeks value $15,000 , it was at the bottle shop , just goes to show if you enter these comps you have more chance them those that don't....good luck to him .
Nuff of that a cuppla pics One of our camp spot at Stanley the "nut" behind the bus and Sawyer Bay to the side and the edge of the world plus Carol passed the edge .

Re: Bernie and Carols "NEW" adventure
Well here we are now at Cooee Point cuppla Ks from Burnie .
We spent 7 days at the camp supplied by the golf club , and good on them .
We arrived at Cooee around 9.45 after a Huge drive .(hehe) I'm still on the first tank of fuel I bought when we arrived in Tassie , just under a half at this time...that's including the diesel heated most mornings...its on now .
We camped at this spot back in 06 it was 5 days then , now only 2 . There is only three other caravans here with us .
Windy enough to blow Bob's dog of its chain again yesty but calm now , we were going up to the Penguin viewing area but the wind stopped that we will go there this evening.
The tide was out when we arrived and unfortunately we will not see it full this trip .
Anyhow a cuppla pic's of our camp spot Hope you enjoy .
The top one was when we arrived and the other this morning .

Nice and quiet there Bernie, no one up your tail pipe or blocking your view or door access

Queen of the Banal & OT chatter and proud of it. If it offends you then tough titty titty bang bang.
Re: Bernie and Carols "NEW" adventure
It has been quite here maybe the cold had stopped the visitors ?
There has been 3 caravans up till yesty arvo , but two more and a Bedford motorhome have arrived .
Still plenty of room with out annoying others .
Visit from the ranger as well checking for compliance to the rules .
