I painted the underside of my replacement flooring with bondcrete.
I'm not talking about aquawoodheer (spelling???) it's not the same stuff even though some think it is.
Put whatever else you like over it afterwards.

Thanks all. I have decided not to paint on bitumen although I did dab it on each screw in the new section of floor I replaced.
Thanks El Gringo, bondcrete was also another product I considered and will probably be what I use.
