Roberts Move to SA

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Yesterday we signed the contract which will be unconditional on the 6/7 and settled by the 30/7 at the latest. This is now down to half of the time scale it was before and if we are ready can possible settle a week earlier.

The realestate agent will still do open house every fortnight and request inspection between if any one is interested. This is to try for a second offer in case the first is not locked in by the 6/7. Building and pest inspection must be done before the 6/6 so that will be the next big goal.

The 26th or 27th would suit me as I can then go to the Camp Oven Gathering at Alstonville, NSW. So now I just need to maintain the place and do our final sorting and packing. Cheers Robert

All working out well at the moment, buyers valuer came through last week and no problems. Today we had the building and pest control who gave a clean bill of health for the property. Now just have to see the next two months through but it is sunny Queensland Robert

Due to the high quotes for moving from the main moving companies we are using a SA independent who does a fortnightly removalist run from Adelaide to the Sunshine Coast.

Spent the weekend packing most of the breakables as now we have to do that as well. I believe it is better to get it over and done with and we can then relax for the last couple of weeks when we return from our trip down south.

Situation normal with the realestate industry, leading up to signing of the contract and the builders report our agents were always in contact with email. Messanger and phone. Since last monday nothing they even cancelled the opening scheduled for saturday without telling us because the wife was crook on monday. As long as the money ends up in the bank stuff them.

Have a great week Robert

Another opening tomorrow just to see if they get any offers incase this one falls through. Still have three weeks to unconditional. Long time coming but we knew the circumstances when we accepted the offer.

Text from agent today, council came round to the office and told them as well as other companies that the new council rule is no open signs set up the day before and left until the monday. Now they go up just before the opening and taken down at the end. My my agents getting their hands dirty hammering signs in. Guess they my start to invest in A frame signs that just open out like southern agents have used for years.

Have a great weekend everyone and drive carefully. Robert

Hope all goes well with your sale. I am in the process of selling Mum's house as she has suffered a fall and brain bleeds and loss of memory she is 91 so I am using the power of attorney completed almost 10 years ago. Hell those solicitors know how to do you over making big issues out of nothing. Mum completed it Christian name and Initial for second christian name and full surname . Solicitor said the supreme court will not accept that we will have to use another approach. Fortunately I have some formal knowledge of law and told them it did not change the intent of the document and to just lodge it with the supreme Ct $550-00. who registered it. I would have signed between 30-40 documents its unbelievable what goes on. We have settlement on 22/6/18 and just want it finalised I wonder what the final legal bill will be.

Typical of some legal eagles, $$$$$$$$$$$$ is all they care about, we had absolutely no probs when G sold his old aunts house even though there was a couple of "issues" with spelling . Our subdivision has just about all gone through without my signature (property all in my name) until I asked why I haven't been asked to sign anything?? twats.

We called it quites with the agents having any more open house inspections if this offer does not go unconditional on the 6/7 then we will reassess what we are doing.

Had a great day yesterday at the RAAF base Sale where with many other proud parents and relatives we watched our son graduate as a officer in the RAAF. He will be based in Canberra starting on Monday for a couple of years.

Today we will head in to Melbourne after lunch with our lad and spend the night with Molly’s aunt. Tomorrow we will catch up with my brothers son who we have not seen since my brothers death a few years ago.

Saturday its a week in Adelaide to check out houses and spend time with our daughter and granddaughter.

Take care and have a great weekend. Robert
