What did you do to my rig today...???
vik... got painters in here...!!!
Walked past it a few times and again this morning, so it's still there Wind hasn't blown anything off the roof yet so we musta attached 'em reasonable well eh. What a wonderful day to finish off this latest project and start the big move of the battery and electrics gear to the off grid house. There is that much dust in the air from all this wind it's getting hard to breath in the workshop.
Perfect...!!! Hammer drop is the 18th AUG...

Our Alpine developed a water leak on the pressure side of the shower pipework on the last trip back in May. I wasn't sure of the best way to tackle it, but finally worked up the required motivation to have a crack at fixing it.
I removed the mirror by cutting through the double sided tape that holds it to the wall and cut in an inspection point.
I was reluctant to cut through from the exterior, as is considered the usual practice, apparently. I didn't want another potential water ingress point if I could avoid it.
The designers at the Winny factory deserve a pineapple because of their install practices. The John Guest hoses are saddled to the wall top and bottom without any separation between pipe and saddle.
The red hose was worn through on the bottom saddle. Our local RV spares guy had all the parts required on the shelf.
It looks like they install all the pipework then fit the shower cubicle then build everything in around it with no thought to ongoing maintenance issues.
Now all I have to do is replace all the bad bits and put it all back together.
I will put up some pics when I take a few more photos.
Cheers

David and Terrie 2006 Winnebago Alpine Not all who wander are lost.
Replaced a little crappy wooden 'shaving cabinet' that couldn't hold half as much as we need with a much bigger (& more expensive) 3 door, 900mm long, all mirror one.
MUCH better!!! Now to get some LED's around it & a power point where it was supposed to be!!
