This bit of our travels took us to Richmond Tasmania , as requested by my brother we went to the St Johns Catholic Church .
To take some photo's for him of lost relatives grave sites . After a long search we finally came across the graves .

In the graves lay My great great grandfather Jeramiah Duggan and his wife Elizabeth , his son my great grandfather also Jeramiah Duggan and his son John Edward Duggan my grandfather , they all lay in the same grave plot . My Dad was also named John Edward Duggan Dad died in 1977 in Sydney .

I took some photos for my brother and me , also of the church Dad went to and the school he also attended , the original is lost but a picture of it is there to be seen . I only remember meeting my grandfather on one occasion when my youngest sister passed away aged 11 months some where around 1950/51 ? Her name was Elizabeth..So now I know where the name came from.. Also my name goes back to my Dads youngest brother killed during a air battle off Good Enough Island , Bernard Leo Duggan also my full name . He was a war photographer for the RAAF. My Dad was a POW at the time , captured in Africa .

We done the obliquity photo shoot of the famous Richmond bridge (Dad had to walk over it each day for school ). Plus a walk around the shops and such .
I put some pics in memories of my family
Bernie and Carol .

We enjoyed our stop in Richmond, Bernie. Your family history reminds me of mine in Springsure, Rolleston and Taroom where we found the graves of ancestors on my Mother’s side. Always adds a little something special to a stop over.

Here we go again , we have been down at Seven Mile Beach around 30Ks from Hobart for the last week .
WE rented a cabin , done the sums on bringing the motorhome down or leaving it back at my nephews . About 700Ks round trip plus with the weather being wet and cloudy most of the time we would have needed a power site . So not a lot of difference "price wise" leaving it or bringing it .

On the Friday we arrived we didn't do anything , Saturday as last post went to Richmond .

Sunday we went and had lunch with the people who's farm we were to sit from tomorrow . Now this is not happening the owners Son has arrived home. So we decided (mutually ) that there was no need for us to do the sit .

Monday we went to Triabunna for a bit of a look , had lunch in the local café Fish and chips . We have been there before , actually we have been to all the places down here , but always good to revisit .

On Tuesday we went down to Geeveston then back around to Cygnet , had lunch in a local café ( bacon and egg roll yum )

Wednesday we were off to Mt Field national park and the walk to Russell Falls , then down to the Salmon Ponds for lunch ( chicken and mushroom crepe ) , And today Thursday we went to Eaglehawk neck . Bought oysters and prawns and dinned back at the cabin .
And tomorrow we are heading back to Nephews , he has injured his arm (torn ligament ) so will need a hand for a bit .

And to top things off we are booked on the Spirit of Tasmania on the 8th of next month...night trip with cabin , we will be heading home .

Bernie .
Opps nearly forgot we went to the Royal botanical gardens on our way back yesterday , got to shake hands with Pino Amenta the ABC presenter from Gardening Australia.... Peter Cundall's replacement . They were filming a segment .
