Did you have a look for the in line fuse in the dash?
Does the lithium supply constant 240? Or is it isolated when driving? There is no chance the fridge will run on 12v if the fridge control panel is seeing 240.

The hw heater switch, are you referring to the switch with the red light? If so that is for gas operation. The red light will extinguish when the gas ignites.

Not just a prett face there Craggiles...!!! Startin to make alot of sense there, I should run the heater on gas to even see if it works on gas :o ... and what the red light does then...!!!

As for the fridge, Yea, I should turn off the inverter to it... :? But hang on... we did unplug the thing from under the drawer and Terrance tested it...

Nup, beats me...???

Not much value only running on 12v when the engine is running but we will have to test just how much it uses on 12v to see if it's worth rewiring it or just leave it running on 240vac via the inverter and switch it to gas when camping if the battery looks like it might be struggling on poor solar days. The DC to DC charger is adding to the battery while driving so it doesn't really matter if it's running on 12v or 240v from the inverter then, it is only when camped up it might be an issue.
The hot water is a different kettle of fish though, that draws serious power, even more than the air con so the poor inverter can't run both at the same time  but it could run the fridge and the air con or the hot water and the air con at the same time.

I was trying to figure out what you were aiming to achieve by running the fridge on 12v. I run mine from the inverter whilst driving. But mine is a fair bit older than the AES fitted to Vik's MH and its easy as I simply turn a switch to select where I want it powered from. The earlier 3 way fridges like mine don't run as well on 12 v as the newer AES fridges. The AES fridges have a 12v thermostat.

Thats the story me thinks, cos there aint no 12 volt the AES doesnt seem to wor as it should...???

In our slideon we had in Canada the AES didn't work at all if there wasn't a good voltage on the 12v, once it dropped below 12v NOTHING worked, couldn't even use it on lpg which is just plain stupid. We had so many days where the fridge stopped working completely that I set up a dedicated line to the lpg solenoid from the ute and we left the fridge running on gas 24/7 . Just had to turn it off when refuelling.
The AES system is designed for RV's that if not driving are on mains power which we rarely were and with no solar and only one small 55ah battery it didn't last 24 hours as the AES sucked a couple of amps alone.
