Re: Good morning daily
Good morning all. Thank havens for our sea breeze even though we about a k as the crow flies from ocean. Had soaker hose going yesterday evening and the birds loved it. Onw of my bird water containers was dry a couple of days ago and there was a juvenile Friarbird hovering over it as much as to say "Where is the water?" Feeling for all SA folk especially.

Re: Good morning daily
Possibly a bit tardy for a morning post...
At 0800 it was 32 in Rutherglen. Now 47, with a 'cooling' westerly.
T'other day when we registered 50.3 in the shade, our birdbath completely evaporated by 1400. Our tame Magpie family (7) were all trying to sit on the rim of the dogs' water bucket in the shade... and all panting severely.
So I fetched a second bucket from the garage and filled it right to the brim so they could all have space to perch & dunk their heads.
They thanked us with a chorus of carolling.
