Re: We might be gone for a while
Scheduled for departure today but ..............
Looking a bit like Terry will be only taking 9 1/2 fingers and I'm wondering if Margaret will be the gear jerker while Terry handles the wheel!!!
Someone needs to write instructions for using cutoff wheels in grinders???
1. Use ONLY on metal.
2. Use only with provided guard.
3. Get someone else to use it.
4. Use without turning on.
5. Pick up amputated fingers before they start to smell.
6. Claim worker's comp for work place accidents.
7. Leave angle grinders in workshop when traveling to WA!!
PS. Have a good trip Terry!!

1) designed for metal cutting but the ultra thin blades do cut a multitude of other materials, including fingers.
2) Couldn't fit the guard because it was a 125mm wheel on a grinder designed for 100mm, no idea where the guard is anyway.
3) Maybe not, certainly not Brian anyway, he would have been halfway through his hand before he noticed it

4) Hmmmm......
5) Still attached, just divided into two parts down the through the centre of the nail
6) I think you need to get paid before you can consider a compo claim
7) But what if I need to cut another finger?
Ni idea how deep it went, but at least part way through the nail. There must be good blood flow to the end of that finger because lots escaped before I could wrap it in toilet paper, fold the end over and then hold it together with electrical tape. Hopefully I didn't hit bone but I don't think so because the pain is easing, well until I hit it with the battery tray trying to get it back out.
Same finger as last time, just the other end, not where it joins into the hand this time. Half a bottle of Fireball bourbon over ice applied from the inside followed by an assortment of drugs and I got it to settle down enough to get some sleep.
It does make things a tad difficult today, I have no idea how you people use a screwdriver in your right hand, so awkward

That should teach you to keep your fingers under control. Hope you gave the cut a dam good wash and heaps of betadine applied. ?? Tetanus shot up to date??
Which leads to this question. HAVE YOU LEFT YET?
Safe travels x

Ouch Terry.... hope everything is ok.
quite easy when you have the tools; sounds like you might need a set of right hand screwdrivers.I have no idea how you people use a screwdriver in your right hand, so awkward

Ouch!! yes that's gotta hurt a bit. I have some right handed screwdrivers that I won't be using much anymore. Do you want me to ship them over.....
