I have been quoted about $1990 to R&R both rear springs, includes resetting springs, new bushes etc.

Getting a quote on all air , Airbags.

Also took a punt on a new Oil pressure sender, and that seems to have fixed the issue.

So progress is being made.

$1000 a side.

That's probably not a bad deal. They'd weigh 100+ kgs, so just getting them out would be a nightmare.

Had a quote from the Airbag man today.

Seems it around $1600 plus fitting with some serious modification to make brackets, to make fit.

Seems just a bit too hard and will only give 3 tonne assist.

So will stick with rear springs being reset at just under 2 grand, includes fitting , new bushes etc.

Good move Kappy.

I always wonder about (non OEM) air bags putting a "buckling" stress into the chassis rails.

Plus, with the new bushes and things, it will help with the tracking etc. When I did the bushes in the Bedford, it was amazing how she went from looking saggy to upright and square.

Yeah the old girl still rides pretty good for just springs and shocks. and there's very little wander in the steering.

Should be better with the rear sorted.

Will see how she turns out if she's level again then may look at doing news bushes on the front.

See what happens, more room to move around underneath at the front.

Not sure what is more common the front or rear going 1st. The guy that quoted me seems to think it more likely to be the rear as the rear difference was 20 mm whereas the front was 9mm.

Booked in next week.i

An update on my spring reset.

The guys at Drive Straight were great.

The job was done in a day and a half and the old girl is nice and level again.

Total cost under 2 grand.

Very happy

Good to hear Kappy, the price sounds good as well if that included pulling the springs out and refitting them as well as resetting them to the correct height.

Yes very happy.

New bushes, pins,grease nipples, etc

Look like bought ones.

Before when I stepped on the step disembarking, I could feel the front move, now not a squeak.
