Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Glad the surgeon is happy with you Dot, but are you happy with you? Happy weekend anyway XXXX

Am suffering from terminal internet disorder. Last night. no connections, tonight almost as slow as last night's nothing. Today was a clean the lair day, our daughter, sprog and dog are coming to stay tomorrow, so house had to be spic n span Tomorrow will be more domesticity, this time in the kitchen. I will be cooking up a storm...well , the request was for porcupine meatballs and mashed pumpkin. I think I can manage that. Maybe the left over pumpkin will be turned into Dots favourite (not) pumpkin scones on Sunday. Assuming there will be leftovers. The sprog can eat us out of house n home, which isn't bad for a 4 year old.

goodnight all xxx

Porcupine meatballs... :?

In the words of HER... "Please explain".

They must be ok if you're cooking & eating them so how about the recipe?

Pretty please.

I remember porcupine meat balls were mince mixed with vegs and rice & were rolled in cabbage leaves held together with a toothpick. :D

Dot, we cooked different porcupines. xxxx Mine are meatballs with lots of hidden vegs and raw rice, browned and then put in big pot with tomato soup and a tin of crushed tomatoes poured over. Oven until all porcupiney and cooked through.

Once I decided to chuck the meatball into the slow cooker to make less mess, I thought about daughter's request for an old fashioned meal. So it had to have frogs eyes for desert. That's lemon sago to the non 70s children/parents here. After I found the recipe in the old commonsense cookbook, I was mortified at how much brown sugar and golden syrup was needed. I halved the sweet stuff, and the finished product was still very sweet. No wonder we all put on weight eating stuff like that on a regular basis. We all had a small serve of plain yoghurt to sort of dull the sweetness a bit. It was good memory building stuff, but it probably wont be cooked again.

Goodnight from the exhausted one xxx

What a waste of your time Dot. It should be made law that these creeps cannot have times changed to suit them. Case is either on x date or it's not on at all. Why are we (as a nation) allowing this sort of thing? Sleep well Dot xxxx

Had a slow internet night last night so I just gave up. Anyway, today was a slow day here as well. It was 35 degrees and no breezes happened at all, so we did a few jobs and then gave up and relaxed.

goodnight everyone xxx

"tanks" here ---Dot,
Nothing new from that avenue. You will recall that this was a tactic he used several times past history.
