"tanks" here---
Thanks all on this posting.,
I am going outside to run the heater in the "TANK" for 30 minutes to clear the fuel line.
As I get older I am inclined to forget these things, like, run the aircon for 15/20 mins at the start of each month, and change the batteries in the smoke alarm every April Fools Day.
Keith.
I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

There is not je, or injector. The pulse pump simply pulses. The fuel pipe in the heater is just that; a pipe with a 1-2 mm hole. The fuel dibbles onto the mesh which is red hot and burns.

I think the biggest problem for heaters is a dirty air filter. Mine was dirty after Uluru and had to be blown out.
It causes it to carbon up: aka not getting hot enough.
I am advised the Eberspacher has a spray nozzle, not a dribbler, and the carbon build-up is on the hotplate which vaporises the diesel & ignites it. Besides, dirty fuel could easily clog a 1mm hole....

That way the noise matches the fuel used
I'm still waiting for our 5kW Chinese unit to arrive. There were so many to choose from on evil bay it became confusing, now I'm not sure I made the right choice, we will see I guess.

I'm looking at a 5kw unit at the minute.

My inquiry reveals the 8kw units are the same as the 5kw.

In any event cheap enough and easy enough to keep warm.

We bought this one https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/tt-12V-5KW- ... 2749.l2649 based on the filler for the fuel tank being in one corner rather than the middle, 2 air outlet covers and 2 lengths of air hose and a thing to split the air to 2 outlets. I doubt I'll use that bit, but it gives me an inlet and outlet cover and piping. No idea if the LCD controller is better than the dial up controller and if we would ever need the remote fob thing. It wasn't the cheapest unit nor the most expensive available on evilbay, but under $200 delivered sounded so much better than the crazy prices the big brand names were asking.

This one is under $150, has the knob/dial type adjustment so no idea if that is better or worse than the other LCD unit, but for the price you could just about throw it away if it stopped working https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/12V-5KW-500 ... 3543246906

Hi Terry This YouTube vid explains the different controllers...….cheap as a spare part,,,,,,LCD just plug in ….I had LCD without remote ….I purchased a controller with remote for about $40. Plugged in and all I needed to do was set the system voltage to in my case 12v.....
