Made it to Mannum

We packed up in the dry at Langhorne Creek this morning, had to find a detour around the old Murray Bridge which was closed today but made it to Bento Reserve before lunch.

Not many other campers and we have a nice spot right at the far end of the campground.

I was wondering what had caused this strange weather, now we know You needed a fast shutter speed to catch that much blue sky today. If the wind wasn't trying to blow me off the roof of this van, the rain kept chasing me off. No sooner cleared all the stuff inside and the clouds buggered off and the sun came out again .... then the whole cycle repeated.

Thanks so much to T1 and Margaret for taking us out to Bruce and Wendy’s houseboat for a catchup. Also to Homeless (Brian) for coming along. It was lovely to see you all again. Let’s hope it’s not another 6 years before we see you again Bruce, Wendy and Brian.

But, next time, could you arrange better weather please?

Lesley, It looks like every time the weather becomes disagreeable with the locals down that way, they try to blame the Qld'ers for bringing it down with them. Don't take any notice of them.

It’s a bit like the election result. Let’s blame the Qlders!

Heading to Springton on Sunday to spend a few days with Chris and Val (ChrisVal7 for those who know them from CF) and catch up with a former work colleague who lives in Adelaide whom I have not seen for more than 10 years.

Thinking about heading to Loxton to freeload off John and Faye if they are around. Loxton wasn’t on our original radar but it would be great to see them again. Then we would head south again before going back to Vic.

This trip has been a lot of fun catching up with those we have not seen for quite a while, but the weather has not been kind.[emoji30]
