You need to stop looking for "bloody Things" Chuck!
When you are at the start screen that is full of little 'Windows", just type in what you are looking for.
Mouse, keyboard, Java etc & pick the right one in the results to the right.
You can just Type "Control Panel" ..... and once the window opens up click on "VIEW BY" up on the top rt corner & change it to "Small icons".
That may make it easier to find things in the control panel.

In Firefox, go to Options. (3 horizontal bars on the right of the toolbar.)
Security - check there is a tick for 'Remember logins for sites.'

Hi, all.

Last time I bought a computer, about 3 years ago, they set it up in the shop, displayed all the functions, input the passwords etc,and packed it up again, ready to go.I call them up if I have problems with certain functions, no problem.

Last year in Myers at Cairns we were being totally ignored by a salesman in the Apple section (not the dedicated Apple shop) when we went in to buy a mini iPad. After 5 minutes I got mildly pissed off and held my Visa card up high so the ignorant sod could see it. We were attended to within 30 seconds.
See you on the back roads,

When I used to run a "computer store" my motto/slogan was "We take the time to care"
That tended to attract the more senior members of the buying public. Things did take longer to do and I didn't make much money but I did sleep well at night.

One customer wanted lessons, something I didn't like doing and tried to send her to Adult Ed classes.
No luck there so I ended up giving weekly lessons for a while.

She needed a lot of lessons and one thing led to another...
15 years later she still needs lessons but I can't send the wife a bill any more.

In the Mac version of Firefox, 'Security' is in the Firefox>Preferences menu.
I have the 'Remember Logins' option ticked, but it's the Forum that won't remember me: Firefox remembers my username & p/wd OK. :(
