Tennis

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

T1 and Ron, I think you both are correct. It's a bit like the old - look over there routine - while you are doing something else that you don't want anyone to see. Or perhaps to deflect scrutiny about something. Maybe like how absolutely piss poor their response to Omicron has been.
Let's just get all the borders open and planes flying. We can all get covid, but its alright. It will only make a few of us really sick,.........
But I'm a bit cynical and expect that from those running the country at the mo'.

A slight flaw in their thinking. Dave.

Onicrom might not be not as bad a Delta.... but what about the next one? and the one after that.

They can't keep up the charade for every new version release.... Even Microsoft worked that out.

In my opinion, Qld, SA ,Tas and WA had the right approach and locked their state down. As soon as the borders opened, kaboom, the figure speak for themselves. I know a lot of old and/or immunocompromised people that are too afraid to go outside their own house now. Who knows what the next variant is going to bring? The only certainty is, that there will be another variant. I don't know what the right answer is, but I am of the opinion that all our collective gubments could have done a better job. You can't even get your hands on a RAT kit right now.

Tennis you say, what a lot of utter BS. The "PC" brigade hung drawn and quartered that tennis minister lady (forgot her name) for speaking her opinion about the happy bum squeezers yet this male reject spoilt brat gets his arse kissed not kicked. wake up Australia, grow some dam balls.

When things were locked down the wankers amongst us created havoc, fought police, damaged cars & buildings etc etc.
We never ever had enough police to run around checking who was jumping borders, breaking home quarantine, helping escort ambulances etc etc.
Can you tell me what the hell THEY were supposed to do?
Maybe they should have invited farmers with guns to monitor borders, airports & other places at $100 a day. (& shoot on sight any perps)
If you look back you'll see they did exactly the same thing with "rainbow people". Throw the rules out & let the population destroy itself.

I would expect every person to think of others, not just themselves. surely every single (or married person) could do what is needed to protect the sick and vulnerable and I agree bring in the farmers or even the big bad bikies if needed. I feel so sorry for the front line workers police, ambos, all medical personnel and the poor buggers that have to deal every day with morons. Even our friend that works in the city fridge is just about at the end of her tether dealing with "the innocent" susceptible people and the " powers that be" are shit scared to send one unvaccinated arrogant self righteous twit packing just because he wants to beat others win records. :D :D

Son-&-Heir got really pi$$ed off with the anti-vaxxers he was required to treat in ICU.
REFUSED to be vaccinated to protect themselves, their families and the community, yet when they came down with Covid they expected instant gold-standard treatment.
And very demanding with it. Nurses were servants in their view, at the instant beck & call of patients.

I had an AIDS pos patient he spat at me so I told IT to F off and refused to have IT as my patient, IF I was still working I think I would be extra slow and develop dementia.

Now there's a thought, an extra $100 bounty for any they drag in that test to be unvaccinated .... shot to kill might be a tad excessive .... but if needed then ..... but a leg so they couldn't run away, a shoulder so they thought they might die ..... Yeah, I know, wishful thinking and not really allowed these days ..... is it?

Could we claim self defence of our loved ones, protecting them from virus terrorists?
