Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

George do you have to show your Medicare card when you go to an A&E? sometimes they even ask you to pay a fee, usually $20. Who is going to take care of your runner while you are over seas?

Dot you have been busy. xxxx

We have a senior health care card that gives us cheaper scripts, only because we are both not earning much income and have totally retired. As for the xrays etc, it depends on how the referral is worded by the quack. One practice will give a steroid injection for free if the referral has the same date as the scan. Different date and you pay through the nose. Most scans have been medicare only for his lordship because the quack knew to put the referral that he is suffering from headaches. Often it is just in using the right phrase or word that makes a huge difference.

Thanks again for all the kind wishes.
His Nibs had his brain surgery this morning and has come out looking much better than I expected. :D We had to be at the hospital at 5:30 AM, which meant leaving home at 4:30. Not a lot of sleep was had by either of us. He had his surgery and I hung around the hospital to await any news. They finally phoned me at 1pm to tell me that he was up in intensive care and I could visit. I was super stressed by then and it turned out that he had been awake from 11AM. I chose not to interrupt anyone who might be doing life threatening work to ask about his health, but I am very disappointed that there was nobody who thought I might need to know that he is ok.
He will be in intensive care for a couple of days and then into a room for a few more. Because the area is so full of covid, I am the only person who may visit him. The kids are going to be happy to just talk to him, when he is ready. I spent most of the time when I arrived home, just contacting a heap of people with the good news and now I am going to have a super early night.

Night all xxx
Deborah

I plan to have another birthday next year.

Excellent news Deborah, you must certainly feel relieved, hopefully he will take it easy & rest, allow himself time to fully recover when you bring him home.

Great news Deborah, the nursing staff aren't great on progress reports, but they are stretched to the limits so it is understandable. Margaret stresses each time they put my under, I don't always spring back real well and she hates the waiting to see if she is at last she gets the whole bed to herself
